Surf Lessons & Surf Camps

Our upbeat, all female crew of instructors create a positive environment where each student receives personalized instruction at camps and lessons.

 8th Ave North Beach access in Jax Beach

**We do not have a shop. We meet in the beach access parking lot.**

The Refinery restaurant is in the same access.

Surf Camps

Our all-female surf camp is offered to biological girls ages 8-16. We have a 4:1 student to coach ratio in the water.  Before we get in the water, we arrange students into small groups of four depending on age, skill and comfort level. We can accommodate students that want to be in the same group with friends or family. 

Summer 2026 dates: June 1-August 7

*Every Monday is a new class

*Co-ed weeks: June 22 and July 27

Camper: $230

Drop-in: $55 (call for availability)

PRIVATE SURF LESSON

One on one individual surf lesson. Cowboys and cowgirls, ages 8+ all skill levels are welcome! Students must be a strong swimmer in order to participate.


The wind, tide and swell determine the time of lessons. The window of opportunity to catch the best conditions each day could be small. To optimize the best conditions, students may be asked to join a lesson with 2-3 others who are similar age and ability. This would become a group lesson at $65/person.

Max weight 180 lbs or <28 BMI

AFTER SCHOOL SURF

  • Unfortunately, the ocean is too rough by late afternoon when students get out of school to hold classes in the fall.



Weekend Wrangler

Co-ed group adult class for beginner to intermediate surfers. The WW class is designed for adults to take a few sessions, learn the basics and fundamentals so that you can wrangle waves on your own! We teach all aspects of ocean awareness, how to read waves, board control and ultimately how to ride waves!


Students must be a strong swimmer in order to participate.

Fridays & Saturdays through Oct '26

Adults age 18+

8:30am - 10:00am (time may change to target better ocean conditions)


  • Surfboards are provided
  • Max 5 students

Each session is paid for separately.


Group Surf Lessons

Our group lessons consist of two or more students. Open to Cowboys and Cowgirls ages 8+ all skill levels are welcome! Students must be a strong swimmer in order to participate.

HOMESCHOOL SURF


Yeee haaaa! Our Homeschool Surf class is open to Cowgirls and Cowboys! Students MUST be strong swimmers. No exceptions.

  • Fall surfing is much different than summer. More power and wind. Students must have prior surfing experience and be comfortable paddling out.

SWCG began providing quality surf instruction in the summer of 1999.Our upbeat, all female crew of instructors provide a positive environment where each student receives personalized instruction at camps and lessons. Your safety is our top priority. Each student will learn the fundamentals of surfing including board control, paddling, ocean awareness and ultimately catching waves on your own!


Surf camps are all female. We offer co-ed private and group lessons for all! We can accommodate birthday parties, church groups and corporate events!
